I have a wonderful girlfriend who I just love to get together with.  She is totally hilarious, beautiful, super bright, and used to model back “in the day.”  I simply adore being with her but I’ve discovered something about myself. As soon as I leave her, it’s almost like I have no thinking brain of my own.

I find that whatever new tidbit Rebecca has just shared with me; some great hair care product that infuses Tom Ford fragrance into it, an amazing jacket she just purchased where there was only one left in my size, a place where she “trades up” her jewelry… I simply MUST go there, be there, see it, touch it, smell it, roll around in it, or try it on for myself.

She is what I call “the Great Influencer.” It’s a miracle that I have any money left in my paypal account… whatever she recommends (like a zombie)… I go buy it.  Here are just a few of the latest things Rebecca has told me about:

Rebecca Collage

Bowguards  (also known as bracers, arm guards, and ketohs.)  Rebecca was the first to sport one, then off I went to get one of my own.  Although there is an actual function to them, I just like the cool, edgy vibe they possess.  The look is even better when you wear matching bowguards on each wrist.  Watch for a future post where I disclose my fave resource on where to purchase these.

Paige Denim – Probably the best fitting denim around. Worn by celebrities such as: Gwen Stefani, Jessica Biel and Sarah Jessica Parker.  I especially love these!

Belletto Studio Airbrush Makeup System – Rebecca accidentally ordered two of these systems by mistake.  She talked so much about this system you’d think she had ownership in the company.  I asked if I could purchase the other one from her and, boy, am I glad I did.  It is a bit like “tagging” a subway car, but once you get the hang of it your makeup goes on beautifully AND stays on all day. You can airbrush on your foundation, eyebrows, eyeshadow and blush…and, yes, you can even contour.  How do you think I got these great, defined cheekbones?

Leather Brogues – Rebecca told me everyone wears these in Europe.  It’s their everyday “walking around” shoe.  I just returned from a trip to Europe and guess what?  Everyone wears these in Europe.  I purchased my blush-colored pair at ASOS, however just last week on a style segment on the Today show they said metallic brogues were the way to go for fall.  Maybe give these a try? I gleaned all of this information from her in just one “girlfriend lunch.”  I wonder when we can get together next?
