This week zipped by.  It was busy, it was fun and was also really exciting with my Vapour Organic Beauty post from two days ago.  (BTW- I’m pickin’ up what you’re puttin’ down…you LOVE giveaways! Guess what?  I’ve got another one coming next month.)

So,  I plan to set aside quality time this weekend to focus on some DIY projects I’ve been wanting to make for months now.  Not just your average DIY projects, mind you, but projects with some pizzazz, some zhoosh…you know…OOMMPPH.  All I know is, my glue gun and I are ready to create some magic.

I intend to make at least one of these DIY projects before the end of the weekend:

LOVE this.  NEED this.   I own the dress that this DIY starts with,  however mine is pink.   Let’s break out some feathers!

Now, I promise not to wear the above with the below…otherwise I might take flight…but ever since I wore that adorable feather bracelet from Worth New York on New Years eve, I’ve kinda got a thing for feathers.

Aren’t these feathered heels  fab?  Again, edit the feathers.  Only one feather “thing” at a time, please.

Now, this project might take me the entire weekend to complete ~

But…HELLO…totally worth the time and effort.  Learn how here.  For other really creative DIY projects, you simply must go check out Deconstrut by Charlotte.

I have embellished items like this many, many times.  On jacket pockets, lapels, pant pockets, etc.

Just follow these very simple instructions.  Do I spy a little feather skirt?

This is a great little embellished clutch bag that I might consider making ~

From one of my favorite fashion bloggers.  She’s been blogging since 2008 and is one of the biggest blogging success stories.

Wait…toss up!  Which one should I make?

This terrific bag is from the same DIY-er who created the feather dress project.  Learn how to make the Union Jack bag here.

So, the hardest part about this embellished sweater project will be to find the applique.  You might try something like this instead to cut around, or create you own pattern.  I just think the idea is brilliant.

One of my girlfriends made this belt and turned me on ~

to this doorknocker project.  It looks awesome in person.

If I don’t run out of time, I want to make sure I make one of these bracelets.

I’m pretty much obsessed with all of the DIYs by meredith and gwyneth, the new yorkie.  Frankly, every project on this post makes me swoon.

Warning:  this could happen to you too.
