I initially wanted to write a blog post about my friend, Pam, because she owns an immense amount of cowboy boots and I thought it would be fun to visit with her to talk about them.

I just wanted to see them, touch them, somehow sneak a pair into my purse and learn everything that I could about this collection of hers.

And, yes, Pam does own quite a few pairs of boots.  She is clearly passionate about them.  However, I learned that she has a few other passions as well.  More on those in just a bit.

Ok, so this was a bit like being in the Black Hills Forest of Boots…not such a bad place to be.  She’s lost count, but Pam knows she owns more than 50 pairs.

These are my two faves:  Hmm…let’s see… what size are these?

And Pam’s:

Pam’s golden rules for buying a great pair of boots:  MUST be comfortable.  MUST be able to go with anything. MUST be easy to travel in and MUST be a boot that defines your style.

A few of her favorite designers? Rocketbuster Boots, Lucchese Cowboy Boots, Liberty Boot Co and Old Gringo Boots.  Guess what?   She scores most of her boots by surfing Ebay!

I’ve known Pam for many years.  She’s super great at maintaining friendships, an incredibly smart business woman and makes some awesome jewelry ~ but, what are her other passions?

Pam is actively involved in the practice of Aerial Yoga and learned all her moves at  Enchantment Dancing.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico Guest Chef Program. Pam and a group of local girlfriends are all very active in this program and want to make sure that the families of sick children receive a healthy cooked meal when staying there.

Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico.  Checkout their very active and highly followed facebook page here.  Pam is committed to helping Lap Dog Rescue with their mission to help New Mexico shelter dogs find new homes and has assisted the organization with their social media, branding, community outreach, special events and even fosters herself.

p ldThe little cutie on the right hit the jackpot because she gets to live with Pam.  Sugar, the one the left, is being fostered and is looking for her “furever” home.

Well done, my dear friend!  Keep up the good work and continue to follow your passions.  And, seriously…who wouldn’t want a little Sugar in their life?
