Back In Time

When was the last time you went to a show at the beautiful, historic Kimo Theatre?  I was there recently and after seeing the fabulous stage,

and venturing up to the balcony, then

walking the stairways and halls (with those AMAZING wall murals) …

… the entire venue really takes you back in time.

I’ve always been attracted to women’s fashion from the late 1920’s, early 30’s.  I think I would have fit right in with all those well-dressed attendees of the Kimo Theatre back in the day.

I own a very special 1930’s full skirt pattern that belonged to my grandmother and the hemline could fall right below the knee, right above the ankle or somewhere in-between. I have always wanted to use her pattern to make her skirt for myself BUT … since I sew

about as well as I play the piano …  I did the next best thing.

I bought one.
