After my closet purge from last week, I determined which items I will be donating to charities and which items I will list for sale on Poshmark.  A few of you contacted me to let me know that you’re already using Poshmark and that you find it to be an excellent way to buy and sell clothing and accessories on-line, however most of you didn’t know what Poshmark was.

This post will provide you with a general overview, but you can learn much more here.

I first became aware of Poshmark “closets” after seeing them on just about every other fashion blogger’s sites. I noticed a badge that said “Shop My Closet”.  (You’ll now find it on my blog site too)  Simply clicking on their badge brought me into their closet to see all the items they had for sale. WOW!  What a brilliant way to sell items you are no longer using (too big, too small, impulse buy, purchased after drinks with the girls ~ whatever)  and you don’t need a blog or website to do so…all you need is your cell phone!

Take a peek into MY Poshmark closet.  You’ll probably recognize a few items from my blog posts.

I’ve listed a variety of items for sale on my Poshmark closet and have already sold quite a few pieces.  Here are some items I have just recently said Buh Bye  to… and why:

DS2It’s not you, French bulldog sweatshirt, it’s me.

heel 1

You’re just a bit too young for me, black polka dot, platform heels.

old navy

I can no longer skirt around this issue, I’ve just simply moved on  b & w striped skirt.

sweater2

It was a one time deal sparkle top. (I’m actually quite annoyed about this because I do really love this top but I purchased the wrong size.  I had to pin it in the back.  I debated on getting it altered but, instead decided to cut my losses…boo hoo hoo…)

So, I did not write this post so that you will go visit my closet and purchase all my “stuff”.  I wrote this so that you can consider creating your own closet to sell your own items.  PLUS ~ there are oodles and oodles of great items to purchase, as well!

Once you set up your Poshmark closet ~  all you have to do is take pictures of your items, describe them and then list them  ~ all from your cell phone.   Easy Peasy!  Get all of your questions answered on how to do that here.

Then, when your item sells and you get PAID ~ you can start this process all over again.

LOVES it!
